DENTAL CLINIC Im an effort to establish a school dental clinic for pre-school and grade one children, a delegation headed by Mrs. Graham will approach various clubs and organizations in town to see if the necessary funds can be raised. Dr. Kohnke of _ the —Preventive Dental Clinic and Public Health Nurse Mary Kartner met with the executive recently and outlined the program. Working on a program costing $1000 a government grant of $500 could be expected with a fur- ther $240 raised by a $4.00 registra- tion fee for each child. This would leave $260 to be raised by the com- munty. With previous yearly commit- ments using all of the P-TA budget funds, the members decided to ap- proach other groups to raise the funds for this worthwhile project. Dr. Lloyd Bothamley has indicated that he would be prepared to take on the clinic which would amount to a three-hour session each week. COUNCIL Members endorsed the idea of starting a council consisting of dele- gates from the various P-TA’s in this school district. It was felt that it would work to the mutual benefit of all the organizations in an exchange vf programs and in participation of community endeavors. OTHER BUSINES! A float boosting parent-teacher education will be entered in this year’s parade at Stampede, and a booth will be erected and pamphlets given out at the Fall Pair in August. For the last meeting of the year on June 2st, an old-fashioned hoe- down will be held as a wind-up party following the installation of the new executive, Dated 28th April, 1955. .
