Parfitt pleaded guilty in police court ‘Saturday morning to a charge of as- sault causing actual bodily harm and wwereech fined $50 or in default two months. The assault occurred April 27 on | the highway outside of town and followed a drinking party. David P. On Thursday the gravel- ing crew under direction of K. EB. Higgins commenced work and are continuing to gravel. Though there aré bad places the roads are in much better shape than last year. A set- back in road conditions was, caused by a snowfall of about 7 inches April 22 on the higher areas and three or fovr on lower levels, but little of it remains. The gravelling crew con- sists of Gordon Withers, Fred Ward, Gordon Mountford, John Hogan. OLAF THRONES has purchased a half-ton truck. HERBERT BLACKLOCK, his son Douglas and Bill Goldsack motored recently to Kamloops and Vancouver and returned last Saturday bringing with them Mrs. Herbert Blacklogk and daughter Gay 7. and Stewart Mason, brother of Alan Mason. At An- gel’s Camp Mr. MeNeil learned of the death this past winter of J. Frank Woods a resident of the Cari- boo at the.150 Mile House for many years prior to 1930. Mr. Woods was a lover of the Cariboo but ill health prevented his returning. He left many friends and enjoyed corres- pondence with several. He is surviv- ed by his wife Rose, at Angel’s Camp.
