CLUDOLICUM INDIAN RESERVE
SEALED TENDERS, addressed to
the undersigned and marked “TEN-
DERS FOR CLUDOLICUM TIM-
BER” will be received until 3:00
p.m., THURSDAY, 5th day of MAY,
1955, for the right to cut the mer-
chantable timber on an area of 890
acres. in Cludolicum Reserve, in
Lillooet District. The quantity is es-
timated at 500,000 cubic feet,

The sale and operations are to he
subject to the Indian Act and the
regulations and to these conditions:

1. Bach tender must be accompan-
ied by an accepted cheque to the Re-
ceiver General of Canada for
$2,208.00, covering licence fee,
$10.00, annual ground rent $198.00,
and a deposit of $2,000.00 to ensure
completion of the contract to the
satisfaction of the Director, Indian
Affairs Pranch.

2. Tendercrs are invited to bid at
arate of dues not less than $3.00
per C. cubic feet for all species and
grades.

3. The operator is to observe pro-
visions of Provincial Statutes and
Regulations i
slash and reduction of fire hazards.

4. The Indians of the Alkali Lake
Band shall be preferred in employ-
ment on the reserve to the’extent of
their ability and experience. The
operation shall not interfere with
the Indians’ access to the meadows
in the remainder of the reserve.

A Timber Licence will be issued
to the successful tenderer for a term
until APRIL 30, 1956.

Scale Account with payment of
dues shall be supplied to the Indian
Superintendent, Williams Lake, for
each month's operation and shall be
delivered by the 20th of each month
following.
