Students To Help Hospital Fund Pupils of Williams Lake and Sky- line elementary schools are taking their place with the adults of the community in getting behind the need for more hospital accommoda- tion here. Ina letter to the board of directors, the children have stated that they are going to spend the remainder of the school term raising money for the hospital, and have asked for ad- vice on what equipment the hospital needs that would be within their reach, The students are holding rummage sales, staging benefit sports compe- litions and have instituted class com- competition, with each room sporting a fund thermometer on its door, with the objejetive shown that the class attempting to reach. In several cases this amounts to $50. Commenting on the offer of the children to raise money for the hos- pital, board chairman Clive Stangoe said it is indeed gratifying to adult workers when such a sense of re- sponsibility in community services is shown by our younger citizens.
