THE SNOW is gradually increas ing in Lone Butte. There is between eight and ten inches in the outlying districts. Cougar Hunter Bags Four Cats Cecil Henry returned Wednesday from his hunt in Churn Creek Basin, with four tired dogs and four dead cougar. The dogs, “Laddie,” a Collie; “Chief” Black and Tan; Drive, Plott; and “Pinto Pete” Bluetick, were all working well, according to Cecil. This was the first hunt for Pete, a young hound belonging to Hazel, and he won acclaim for- himself one morning when he and Drive took the track together. Going was rough. and when Cecil caught up to them some three hours and 12 miles later, he found them licking their feet as they faithfully waited at the foot of the cougar tree. One of the cats was a very old female, with worn, broken teeth and bobbed tail. All of them had a deer kill.
