This year I started early, 1 have a perfectly good recipe for shortbread but I gaw a recipe in the paper for Shorthread Buds that were described ag just melting in-your mouth. No- thing ventured, nothing won, J thought so we now have several dozen cookies that are quite nice cookies, but they don’t particularly taste like shortbread. Then I saw a recipe for a frozen Christma pudding, using ice cream. We don‘t like a heavy dessert, so 1 thought ... “just the thing*for my Christmas dinner.” Fortunately I tried it on Sunday, and although it was fairly eatable, it was no howling snecess. é I must have some other cookies, T thought.
