Teach- lighted a meeting here last Saturday of Local No. 27 of the B.C.T.F. The co-op is affiliated with the B.C.T.F. Although the catalogue is not being used by the centrally-located teachers of Local 27, the committee's findings are to be forwarded to the North Central District Council of the BGM: : The co-op, which local officials de- scribe as a body quite independent of the B:C.T.I. and related to it only in that its members are also teachers, wee commended fer its primary work, that of financially aiding in the re- Nef of rural teachers’ honsing, short- age. All B.C. teachers are members of the B:C:T.P. There are other services offered of which ‘teachers may avail themselves, such as the co-op, the crédit- union and medical service plan, all of which, the local teachers say, are parallel to those offered by other professional and Jabour organ- izations for their members. President W. Oscienny’s report on the Qualicum Workshop was quoted as urging teachers to continue to par- ticipate in community interests. Attending the meeting was Vic Montaldi of Burns Lake, as B-C.T.F. representative from the provincial exective. He commended Local 27 for its professional interest and ethical standards as well as for its continuing growth in active partici- pation in B.C.T.F, affairs. Ayes in Countless Colors / H. J.
