Rage & Film Council Invites Club Membership At a meeting of the film councj! commitee Tuesday night at the honic of Ron Friesen, plans were made tc invite local organizations to join this community effort. Form letters will be mailed this week to all organizations informing them of the work of the council and the benefits of a local centre of film distribution as well as the valuable catalogue service offered all inter- ested groups in obtaining special films to suit their particular needs. A schedule has heen drawn up and will be ready for distribution™to they” regular National Film Board sup- porters along the highway from Soda Creek to Watch Lake. The council will take over respon- sibility of films and equipment and distribute the same as last year. The only requirement is a qualified pro- jectonist plus the small fee which entitles the groups to at least six films per month. Extra films may be obtained for a small rental or mail- ing charge. Screens and projectors will be provided without additional cost. It is also planned to initiate a pro- jectionists’ training program within the next two months with the idea that interested organizations will mominate candidates.
