Northcote Burke in Christ Church Cathedral at 2:30 p.m. The bride, who is the daughter of Mrs. B. Harvey of South Burnaby and the late H. W. Harvey, wore a gown of imported white Chantilly lace posed over satin in the Florentine mode with portrait neckline draped softly at the shoulders. From the tight fitted bodice, the full skirt fell in graceful folds to the floor reveal- Ang flounces of ruffled lace at the back. Her chapel-length illusion tull2 veil misted from a pear] coronet, and she carried a cascade bouquet of deli- cate pink rapture roses and white freesia. She was given in marriage by Mr. C. H. Elsey. Mrs. Frank Parker attended her sister as matron of honor while Miss Valerie Tingley acted as bridesmaid. Both attendants wore similar gowns of pale blue and yellow net over lace respectively, styled in - ballerina length with lace bolero jackets. Their hheaddresses were composed of pale yellow carnations and they carried shower bouquets of yellow daffodils. The groom, who is the only son of Mr. and Mrs..M. G. Marks of 100 Mile House, was attended by his brother-in-law, Mr. David Oshanek as best man. Usher was Mr. H. C. Cowley. Miss Yvonne Oshanek was soloist accompanied by Mr. T. Jen- kins at the organ. The parents of the principals re- ceived the guests at the reception which followed at Orchid Hall, Van- couver. Serviteurs were the bride’s sister, Miss W. Harvey, and Miss Y. Oshanek, Mrs. D. Oshanek and Miss M. Thompson. The toast to the bride was propos- ed by Lord Martin Cecil. Mr, J Phillipson was named -chairman o: the event, and the date has been set for May 15th provided it does not conflict with Hospital Pound Day. The meeting also endorsed a resol- ution to ask the School Board to a vance the school entry date from September 30th to February ist. at! present a child must be six before the | end of September to be able to enter | school that year. It was felt. that this werked a hardship on many children. The annnal P-TA scholarship of 850.00 will be awarded again this year. A committee, under the chairman- Popular District Rey. J. Colclough performed the double-ring ceremony at 7:30 p.m. before the altar. Yellow tulips and gladioli formed the church decora- tions. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was beautiful in her bout- fant gown of white nylon and tulle posed over satin. The strapless bodice was topped by a dainty lace bolero with long lily-point sleeves, and her sheer tulle and lace veil showered from a pearl coronet. Her bouquet was fashioned of red roses and white carnations. As bridesmaid, Miss Bonnie Her- bert chose a dress styled with a very full shell pink nylon tulle skirt over pink taffeta, and lace bodice topped by a matching bolero jacket. Her halo headdress was composed of ny- lon tulle and pink roses and she car- ried a bouquet of pink carnations. Miss Nina Hamilton was flower girl for her cousin, and was dressed in 2 dainty yellow satin gown with nylon net overskirt. She wore matching yellow gloves and a halo headdress of yellow roses, and carried a nosegay of yellow and white carnations and pansies. Best man was Mr. Dave Graham Mr. Buckley Eagle, brother of the bride, and Mr. Jimmie Symes acted as ushers. Miss Betty Wrightson played the wedding music. At the reception which followed in the Elks banquet room, Mrs. H. M. Hamilton and Mrs. Hilary Place, aunts of the bride, assisted in receiv- ing. Serviteurs were Miss Joan Hus- ton, Miss Kay Halleran, Miss Valerie James, Miss Sally Richardson, and Miss Carla Woblleben. ‘The bride’s table was centred with |a beautiful four-tiered wedding cake flanked by tapers and bouquets of daffodils and pink stephanotis.
