George Fielder of- In the past ‘week two cases have ficiated. heen reported of local hunters losing their bearings in the bush north of town. In both instances the men made their way out on their own. Last Saturday T. Abe and his sons George and Sam left their car in the early morning about nine miles north of town and agreed to meet back at- the vehicle at nine a.m. Mr. Abe fail- ed to show up at the appointed time and when no trace of him could be found his sons enlisted the aid of the police. Officers took a ten-man search party out at 3 p.m. but the search wag called off finally on account of darkness. In the meantime Mr.’ Abe walked out of the bush at Vic Imhoff's mill on the new highway about five miles from where he had started out that morning. He was back in town at 6 p.m. Similar cireumstances occurred with a party of four PGE employees Tuesday afternoon. The men left their car and agreed to report back at 4 p.m. At 5:30 all were back ex- cept Albert Beckman, and the others came into town to report the incident. Mr. Beckman finally made his way out of the bush and was back in town about 7:15.
