HOLDS ANNUA The annual meeting of the Forest Grove Women's Institute was held at the home of Mrs. W. Garbet, But- fallo Creek with eleven members attending. The cost of the Hallowe'en party which was given to the school children was discussed but decided the money had been well spent. After the rest of the business had been taken care of and two new members had joined, an election ot officers was held with Mrs. Devore taking the chair. A motion was pass- ed to have the same officers for the coming year, and they accepted President Mrs. D. Dare, Buffalo Creek; vice-president, Mrs D. Brown, Forest Grove: sec.-treas. Mrs. G. Mason, Forest Grove. Direc- tor W. Garbett, Buffalo Creek, Mrs. W. Merritt, Forest Grove, Social Committee, Mrs. Devore, Mrs. Merritt and Mrs. Tubbs, Forest Grove. Sellars, Forest Grove on December 9. Refreshments were served by the two Mrs. Garbetts, MRS. WEAVER, Mrs. Merritt and Mrs. Aldred were hostesses to a Baby Shower at Mrs. Weaver's home on Friday afternoon in honor of Mr. and Mrs. H. Perkins’ baby daughter. About 28 ladies were present with some coming from 100 Mile House and Buffalo Creek. After all the ladies had arrived a phone call was made to Mrs. Perkins asking her to come over for a few minutes. The room was prettily decorated in pink and white streamers and bow knots and the gifts were placed in a large baby basket carried in by Marilyn Perkins and Barbara Redpath. A “GET ACQUAINTED” TEA was held recently at the home of Mrs. C. Tubbs as she had new families move in close to her. A lovely tea was served to about Jadies and a nice afternoon was enjoyed by all. 4 A MEETING of the P-TA was held in the school October 28th, with quite a few members attending. After the general business a social time was spent by playing whist. THE PAULSONS, Hunts and Me- L MEETING Kimmons have moved into their new homes at the townsite of Forest Grove. Other homes are fast getting finished. HAD A LIGHT FALL of snow Fri- day but was very wet so the roads are in a slippery condition and many miils have closed down for a few days on aceount of the mud.
