Invites Bids On North Stations Four Quesnel and three Prince George firms have been invited toj submit bids for construction of the new PGE station at Prince George and building of section houses and iréight and passenger shelters at way points along the line between Quesnel and Prince George. Quesnel firms invited to bid are Malmquist and Vaupel Ltd., Sargent Construction; Docherty-Blair, and Cariboo Homes Ltd. Prince George firms which will be submitting bids are A. P. Ander- son; Jamieson Construction Co Ltd., and Dezell Construction Co. Ltd. Largest of the projects will be construction of the station at Prince George. This will be a modern )uild- ing offering full facilities for passen- ger and express traffic. Freight and passenger shelters at way points will be similar to those at present in service on the line south of Quesnel. In some instances it is likely they will be of portable nature. Closing date for the bids has not been disclosed but it is understooa that an early start on the work is expected. While the way point build- ings can be erected speedily the new Prince George station may take sev- eral months to complete.
