The bride, who was given in mar- riage by her brother, Mr. Stanley Wright, chose an afternoon iress of steel grey trimmed with violet Duttons. The violet tone was repeated in the feathers on her small pink velvet hat. A corsoge of deep pink roses and white carnations completed her costume. Mrs. Joan Smedley, president of the Parent - Teachers Association, has announced that this organization will sponsor the course, which will be of 12-weeks duration. Incidentally many people have been wondering what Clive will do about hat electric train that he mentioned hoping to purchase for a son. I don’? see why 4 little thing like the wron¢ sex should hold him back, for overy one knows that even little boys rarely get a chance to play with their trains because Daddy is usually in the way. I only hope that we can give Elaine as lovely memories of her Christinases to come, as I have of the ones I have left behind. Perhaps many people think it spoils a child to grant their requests to Santa Claus, but I don’t feel particularly corrupt for having had indulgent parents — and lovely gifts. Doll buggies, bicycles, fur jackets, were my desires as I progresed through the years. One year I was an ardent devotee of Hawaiian music, and if I only had a guitar I was sure I could teach myself to play it. So I got the guitar one Xmas and a book of lessons too. With no ear for music, I painfully managed to pick out “Aloha” is about a week's time. Then I made the mistake of visiting friend to proudly display my gift. With a natural musical talent, he picked up the instrument and gleefully ran through a number of tunes. I felt my interest dying ‘right there, and soon my prized guitar was gathering dust in the upstairs hall closet. (The only time it was mentioned again was one evening a number of years later when Clive asked me “How my catarrh was?” and not hearing right, I said “Upstairs in the hall closet!” Lovely memories of wonderful gifts, but even more important are the fond a son born in r General Hospital on Saturday, October 27. offering small paring hardest metals.
