Two facts are pointed to as substantiation -for the theory that Nazis were landed before the surrender: ‘@ The sub’s sur- render took;place in Argentina. © The catégorical ‘denial by the Argentine Navy Ministry, issued within 24 hours of the announced surrender, that the sub was not transporting Nazis, and German officers. Such a short time lapse is considered insufficient to es- tablish such evidence conclusive- ly and the suggestion is made that. the Argentine regime may be attempting to hush-up the af- fair. This assumption is felt to be warranted by new documentation oh the continued cooperation be- tween the Argentine regime and the Nazis by the radio program here of Patria Libre, Argentine democratic underground body. On Tuesday Patria Libre made the following two charges: @ In the last week in June the Spanish ship “Cab de Hornos” arrived in Buenos Aires with a cargo of Krupp guns. The land- ing area was surrounded by pa- trols: and onlookers. were cleared from the area during the unload- ing. The arms were said by the seven railway cars. and to have been transported to the northern frontiey, of Argentina. e@ A new organization, founded in Buenos Aires to help rescue victims of shipwrecks, has as its real object to unload passengers from Spanish ships before the ships reach Buenos Aires. Patria Libre says. these passengers are Nazis supplied in Spain with Spanish documents. Both Argentine and Uruguayan newspapers express strong doubts about the submarine sur- tender. El Tiempo of Montevideo says that “the submarine might have carried high ranking Nazis to safety.” Noticias Graficas of Buenos Aires observes that “a- long the southern coasts of Chile and Argentine Patagonia secret depots of fuel and provisions might exist.” La Razon of Buen- os Aires notes: “The most con- WAND STUDIG “Anything With a Camera” 8 E.
