“From Top to Bottom—”

“When our nation is reorganized . . . there will be no
political parties and the selection of the leaders of the
nation will be done without any elections as we now
think of them. . . . The head of the nation shall do the
choosing of the rulers. .. .

“The divine organization of the nation is therefore
exactly opposite to that which is now practiced under
what we are pleased to call Democracy. Under our sys-
tem the authority flows from the bottom to the top. No
wonder we have miade such a mess of things.

“In the Divine Organization of the Nation all author-
ity will be vested in the Head, all authority will flow from
the top to the bottom. Dominion, provincial, municipal
and by-elections will all be done away with.” — From
The Pattern For Future Society, issued by British-Israel
World Federation.

» clumsy attempt to “prove” -

A few weeks later the Van-

HE British Israel Movement
Operating in Canada has two
main “theoreticians,” Messrs. A.
J. Ferris and R. E. Wemp. Mr.
Wemp is the author of “The Pat-
tern for Future Society,” a
mimeographed document of some
15 pages. I am not going into all
the ecclesiastical
of taxes, finance, debt control, ag-
riculture, health, education, and
so on, as outlined by the theore-
tician of the British-Israel Nazis.
It is of much the same cloth with
which Hitler himself fooled the
German people prior to 1933.

Government is the point where
Mr. Wemp exposes the origin of
his doctrine. Mr. Wemp relegates
all authority to the head of the
state. This head shail do all the
choosing, selecting, appointing,
and so on, of his aides and lieuten-
ants. Just like “Der Feuhrer—one
man, one god—embodied in me—
der feuhrer.

It does not make this Nazi
poison any more palatable for
Mr. Wemp to delegate this ob-
noxious role to His Majesty
George VI. “In the divine organi-
zation, of the nation all authority
will be invested in the Head, and
all authority will flow from the
top to the bottom.” The para-
graph-omits to sereech—Heil Hit-
ler, but perhaps it was thought
premature to include it at the
moment.

T Vancouver on April 11 a Mr.
Perey King conducted a series
of British-Israel “prayer meet-
ings.” Here are some steno
graphic excerpts from Mr. King’s
“divine message.”

“This is just the first phase of
the war; after we defeat Germany
we will have to fight Russia” ...
“Tt isn’t the capitalist system
that is so bad, but only the people
who are managing it” ... “and
who are these financiers? ... in-
termational Jewry” ... “referen-
ces in the Bible to the coming of
the Saviour in red garments do
not refer to the red of commun-
ism, but to the blood of commun-
ists” . .. “the Saviour will have
to wipe them (the communists)
out.”

The “saviour” in this case is
undoubtedly a SBritish - Israel
pocket-edition of Der Feubrer.
As if to emphasize this point, and
so to speak, get down to cases,
Mr. King takes the struggle of the

all that will be looked after.”

The foregoing “biblical” inter-

ravings of a sick man. They re
—but they are something more;
they are the dregs of a foul Nazi
poison clothed in religious verbi-
age... that unless checked, can
destroy the unity of the Allied
Nations and aid German fascism
to a victory it could otherwise
never attain. They are an insult
to the heroic Soviet people and

tion against the unity of the Al-
lied Nations.
@
ETWEEN Mr. Wemp and Mr.
King we see the pattern of
Hitlerism unfolding; the WNazi
idea of leadership—mein feuhrer;
the Nazi idea of racism, with its
brutal anti-Semitism; the Nazi in-
tolerance of religious freedom—
anti-Catholicism, ete.; the WNazi
hatred of the Soviet Union, and
its appeal—made with every de-
vice and trickery known to man,
to crush the Soviet Union as the
symbol of communism.
Mr. Wemp and Mr. King are in
full accord with the “saving of
the world from Bolshevism” line

of Herr Goebbels. In fact, that is
-precisely where the theoreticians
of British-Israel get their political
line and ideology — which they
seek to cover up with a religious
facade.

But that does not exhaust the
Similarities between British-Israel
spokesmen and the Goebbels
gang. Forgery is another popular
weapon used to incite distrust,
hatred and suspicion. Mr. Ferris
published a pamphlet in Septem-
ber of 1940 entitled “When Rus-
sia Bombs Germany.” Here the
whole gamut of MBritish-israel
“revelations” is set forth. How
Britain will be delivered; how
Russia will destroy Nazi Europe
and impose a reign of bolshevism;
how the Church of Rome is go-
ing to be destroyed (like Hitler,
British-Israel is anti-Catholic as
well as anti-Semitic) and how
“we the “chosen” of -Anglo-
Saxondom, will finally finish off
Russia.

REPARATORY to destroying
communism, these Nazi ‘savi-
ours’ must work up the necessary

mass enthusiasm for the job.
Since there are no factual
grounds for this proposed destruc-
tion, lies and forgeries must
serve. Goebbels is a master at
this art, and Mr. Ferris is a

willing, if somewhat clumsy stu-
dent. :

On page 71 of this p-mphlet
a poster, alleged to have been
published by the Young Com-
munist League of Great Britain
advertising a youth meeting in

Bermondsey, is produced. The
poster is a replica of the cruci-
fixion—with a hammer and sickle
super-imposed. It is alleged to
have been exhibited in the House
of Commons by the member for
WNeweastle Centre, and to have
caused—and correctly so, a great
deal of indignation.

it was publicly repudiated at
the time by the National and Lon-
don District leadership of the
Young Communist League, as a
palpable forgery. That, however,
does not deter the fascist agents
who must rely on forgery to carry
on their nefarious work. Mr. Fer-
Yis reproduces it in his book as
material evidence of his anti-So-
viet “spiritual revelations.”

Fully aware that this reproduc-
tion of Mr. Ferris’s was a palp-
able forgery, but desiring to make
doubly sure, we forwarded a com-

“ plete outline of it to Mr. William

Gallagher, MP, for East Fife, re-
questing that he trace its origin
for us. Here is what Mr. Gallag-
her replies:

“With veference to your en-
quiry, I quote the following state-
ment issued by the Pxecutive

“Gommittee of the Young Com-

munist League and published in
‘Challenge’ on February 25, 1937:

““The attention of the Young
Communist League has been
drawn to a duplicated poster, al-
leged to be produced by us, ad-
vertising a meeting held in Ber-
mondsey. We emphatically repu-
diate this poster. It is completely
against the position of the Com-
munist Youth Movement, which
respects religious beliefs and has
worked with Christians all over
the country. This malicious pos-
ter is not the work of the Young
Communist League, We did not
produce it and we repudiate com-
pletely the whole idea. It is a
complete and clumsy misrepre-
sentation of the position of the
Young Communist League. It is
not the work of a young Com-
munist, but the work of an en-
emy of the working class, and,
of course, it is no accident that
it is used by the greatest enem-
ies of the working classes—the
Fascists. Signed: Executive Com-
mittee.’

“I might add that the chief
reason why the Young Commun-
ist League came in for some at-
tacks and misrepresentations at
that time from certain reaction-
ary Quarters was because of its
magnificent work on behalf of
Spanish democracy then assailed
by fascism. It was Significant
that those who tried to use this
Particular case were Supporters
of General Franco who attempt-
ed to cover their support for fas-
cism behind the cloak of religion.
Nevertheless the Srowth of a
youth “Peoples Front” was a suf-
ficient reply to the reactionries
and an indication of how far
short they were in their attempts
to discredit the Young Commun-
ist League.

“Please thank your friends for
their kind greetings and assure
them that I reciprocate them to
the full.— Wm. Gallagher.”

Another reproduction in Mr
Ferris's pamphlet is that of a
Soviet postal stamp. IT am not
prepared to say that the repro-
duction is a forgery. It is an “an-
ti-war” stamp issued in 1934 and
shows lightning and heavy bombs
falling On a peaceful city. Tt is
just Possible that during that pe-
riod, when the USSR was the
greatest single driving force in
the world for a Powerful anti-
war, anti-ageression bloc of Dem-
pace States against the menace

ascism, that s
Was struck off, oe sme

But the intent of the stamp, as
used by Mr. Ferris, is 2 forgery—
a forgery which seeks to show
that this is Russia’s historical
role—to bomb peaceful open cities
from the skies! By and through
such forgery of intent, garnished
with biblical interpretation, this
Nazi worm hopes to inflame the
Passions of “Anglo-Saxondom”
against the USSR.
