Qn the 27th of February twenty-
five Indian chiefs and delegates from
other bands gathered in Kamloops
to a conference to determine what
could be done to alleviate the hor-
rible conditions of poverty, robbery,.
dintimidation and ruthless oppression
that leaves behind it a trail of moral,
physical and mental degeneration,
sickness and disease.

These Indian bands, regardless of
dJanguage difficulties were able to
scome together and drop their petty
stribal differences and lay before the
authorities the unhuman conditions
under which they are forced to
exist.

The main question on the floor
of the conference was: To whom
must they lay their srievances to
get results, haying failed in the past
to attract anything but intimidatine
police, callous Indian agents and ly-
ing, perverting,, organizational
smashing priests that are trying to
pacify these wretched people.

Monthly Bulletin,” a relic of the
Middle Ages, published in Vancou-
ver and edited by one of the dope
peddlers from the Catholic joss-
house on Dunsmuir Street, Pather
O’ Boyle. This reverend slob who

has played the parasite around Van-
couver for many years, now is nat-
urally sore at the workers of the
Soviet Union who put all his priestly
brothers in overalls or wooden suits.
He has gathered the vilest forgeries
and slanders from the most notor-
ious liars and cheats, to work into
an article on propaganda. Wo one
should be better able to speak or
write on that subject than a mem-

ber of the battery of the Pope's
heelers, known as the Catholic

We don’t need to use forged docu-
ments to prove our case. There is
no freedom of the press, etc., in Can-
ada for the workers, just as Father
O’Boyle and other leeches like him
have no opportunity to fool, and im-
stead those who till now have been
their dupes. The Canadian Post-
master General issued an order to
all postoffice workers on January
14th, 1935. General Order No. 3, or-
dering them not to deliver any
copies of “‘Isyvestia,” official organ
of the Soviet Government. The Cana-
dian workers are not to be allowed
to learn anything about the Soviet
Union from its official paper, be-
cause the Canadian capitalist Gov-
ernment controls all the avenues of
news and information. Wo restric-
tions will be placed on Father
O’Boyle’s lying, slanders against the
working class.

Before leaving the freedom of the
press, ete., we can hardly pass up
an article in “Liberty” by Trotsky
that shows every indication of men-
tal degeneracy and proves conclu-
sively that Trotsky never grasped
the essentials of “‘Leninism’’ particu-
larly in relation to the “Siate”’ He
says, “IFor Soviet America will not
imitate the monopoly of the press
by the heads of Soviet Russia’s
bureaucracy.’’ “Liberty” is a good
medium for Trotsky’s counter-reyvo-
lutionary propaganda. The owner
of that reactionary fascist dope-
sheet is Bernar McFadden, a crim-
inal, convicted by the U. S. for the
pornographic character of his pub-
lications; linked with Hearst in the
insane ravings against the working
class and demands for lamp post
hangings for the Communists. The
old adage says, “A man is known
by the company he keeps.” It was
laid down by Lenin as an inalter-
able policy during the revolutionary
struggle that the working class must
keep control of the press, that the
capitalist counter - revolutionaries
must not be allowed to influence the
backward elements. This is the only
policy and is the one now in effect
by the capitalist governments
against the workers, in the past as
the above quoted order shows; in
the banning of all revolutionary
literature; in the radio censorshp and
in every other way. Trotsky, Mc-
