Re: District 4 43 Ambulance Services

Dear Sirs:

This Committee is undertaking a comprehensive study of ambulance/
inhalator service in this area. This study resulted from a voiced
concern from local physicians and citizens regarding present services.

From our meetings with these concerned parties, we have isolated
several items. We are not prepared to report on these matters with-
out a full and factual investigation of all the existing conditions
and operating circumstances.

In this regard, we are seeking the assistance and attention of
Council(s). There are elements of economics, logistical data, etc.,
which we feel we must have in order to submit a credible report for
your further consideration.

We are sure that Council is also concerned with any possible im-
provements in Emergency Capability and service and in this respect

“we would request that a Council appointee and the Fire Chief (or
nominee) be authorized to join this Special Committee for open
discussion of all the factors involved. This Committee will prepare
and submit a thorough report to all three area Councils of S.D. #43
for their review and possible future action. We wish to consider

our present facilities, practices etc., and determine any alternatives
which may better serve our present and future needs.
