PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The proposed development comprises 14 one atorey - 2 bedroom apartments, 4 two storey ~ 2 bedroom apartments and 18 two storey ~ 3 bedroom apartments. Parking ig provided at grade, within a parking structure that supporta the 2 storey apartments. The overall design is unconventional, but complies with all zoning bylaw requirements, except parking: The project has a shortfall of two parking stalls. However, the project will be subsidized and is generally accepted that this type of housing has leaser need for parking. The relaxation required ig juat two eatalls out of 74 required. Pedestrian access to half of the units, as well as all vehicular access is proposed off the rear service lane. This very ‘inner city" concept is being accommodated through a 1 meter widening of the lane right of way, and a widening from 5.25 meters to 6 meters of the lane's pavement (no parking allowed). The sidewalk located at the edge of the property, along the lane, will remain in private ownership, but it will be accessible to the general public. (A right of way will be required).
