SUBJECT: P.C.A.A.A. Policy

RECOMMENDATION :
1. The City Council supports P.C.A.A.A.

2. P.C.A.A.A. is to direct al]. communication to the Council represen-
tative of the Parks and Recreation Committee and/or the Recreation
Director. Should any disagreements occur, then these may be
brought to the attention of City Council.

That the field allocations and ice allocations, as required, is
under the jurisdiction of the Recreation Department. .

The City of Port Coquitlam does not give any one group any priority
in use of the facilities.

The withholding of the City grant to a member sport by P.C.A.A.A.
should be done according to their by-laws and constitution.

That member sports of P.C.A.A.A. who may have candidates worthy of
civic recognition, should submit these names to P.C.A.A.A., who in

turn will submit them to the Recreation Director who will process

the application through the Parks and Recreation Committee.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS :

Earlier this year, P.C.A.A.A. met with City Council to discuss various
matters. At this meeting several points were clarified by both the
City Council and P.c.A.A.A. Please see attached memorandum. It is
felt by the Parks & Recreation Committee that these points should be
officially adopted as policy.
