During the gonth of February, investigations into
break, enter and thefts produced good reaults, in fact, te a degree
that the final estimates cannot be judged due to tha amount of
information received and still being acted on.

This month saw a considerable increase in @rug charges
as a result of searches of houses in Port Coquitlam and Coquitlas
and concentration on local hotels, The area Of the Wild Duck Inn
remains a problem. However, in spite of all this effort, the
Situation remains relatively unchanged and drugs could be considered
as the major problem facing this detachment, but, this is in Keeping
with all areas of the Lower Mainland.

In reference to the armed robbery at Colour Your World
Paints on Clarke Road, Coquitlam, eccurring in January, a suspect
Was questioned end a similar type weapon examined. Although it is
felt that this person is responsible, the lack cf identification
prevenled a charge being laid. This pergon is presently serving a
jail term as a result of another charge. There were no other incidents
of this nature during the current months,

On the 22 FEB 73, the body of a female patient was found
at the rear of Riverview Hospital near a reservoir, On examination
of the body, the cause of death was strangulation. A patient at
this hospital is being investigated at this tine.

Nearly one week of the Coquitlam Court was devoted to the
Preliminary Trial of Jesse HOLKES et al for Posseasion of a Rarcotic
for the Purpose of Trafficking, The trial continues on the 24 APR 73.
