.-The murriagée of Miss Dorothy Mild-
red Lee, daughter of the late John ‘A
Lee, former mayor of New Westmin-
ster, and Mrs, Lee, to Mr, Sydney Mal-
lingon, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P: Mall-
inson, Harrogate, England, took place
on Saturday afternoon at three o'clock
at St. Helen’s church, South Westmin-
ster. Rev. J. P. Dingle of All Saints
Church, Alta Vista, an old friend of the
bride’s family, performed the ceremony
assisted by Rev. W. H. I, West, rector
of the pnrish. Mr. Henry Morey, or-
ganist’ of the church, played before and
during the ceremony. -
The bride, given in marriage by her
brother, My. J. Ormsby Lee, of Murray-
ville, wore a powder bine triple ‘sheer
crepe afternoon gown and. carried. Pi
honquet of pink rose buds. gladiola and
fern. | Her chic little hat. was of mid-
night blue, and a tiny veil. and her
shoes were of matching blue. . The
bridesinaid, Miss Gertrnde Brown wore
a peach satin gown with, shoes :-and hat
in Spanish tile, and carried a bouquet
of bronze chrysantkemums.
The bridegroom was. supported by
Mr. Gordon Rundle of Vancouver, and
the dainty flower girl was little Betty
Lee, niece of the bride, who was attir-
ed in pink point d’esprit over pink sili
in Empltre style, with blue velvet gir-
dle and matching cap of net. Her Vic-
torian’ nosegay was fashioned of pink
and white buds. ; -
After the ceremony a reception was
held at the home of the bride’s aunt,
Mrs. 'T, R. Pearson and Mr. Pearson.
Assisting Mrs, Pearson in receiving the
guests was Mrs. Perey ‘Grace of New
Westminster. Mrs, Walter Rennie,

For some time it has been a. puzzle
to know just why the Liberal leader,
the Liberal candidates and the Liberal
press, even onto the Liberal preas lo-
cated at Smithers, are continually ham
mering the C. C.F. They say terrible
things about the.C. C. F. and ask the
poor public to belleve that. they are
sincere in their knockings. Yet the
Liberal party has taken most of its
planks from the C. C. F. platform, and
especially those planks which might
be considered acceptable if under the
controt of reliable people. If the vari-
ous planks of the G. C.F. are.good, and
if the C. C. &. voters who vote Liberai
are good, what is the Liberal party
afraid ‘of that they say such nasty
things.about the C.C. F.. A good old
Tory might be expected to hit hard at
the C. C. F. because their aims in life
do not co-incide. But the Liberals are.
