10 THE WESTERN CANADIAN LUMBER WORKER AUGUST - SEPTEMBER, 1972 NOTICE Whilst some companies are interpreting the 62-hour work day for Fallers in a proper man- ner, others are-not. The Coast Negotiating Com- mittee of the |.W.A. wishes to inform all Fallers that the union position is: | “That the Fallers’ 6’2-hour work day com- mences when the Fallers start any work directly related to Falling & Bucking after leaving the marshalling point. This will in- clude walking and packing of tools or equip- ment into or out of the work site. “The Fallers’ work day ends when all work directly related to Falling & Bucking is com- pleted and the Fallers are available for transportation back to the marshalling point. The 6’4-hour work day does not in- clude the lunch period. All moving time from quarter to quarter is part of the 6’2-hour work day.” : Issued by the Coast Negotiating Committee, a IWA Regional Council No. 1 : « N
