17.1. Every person who violatea any provision of this Bylaw shall be
guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction and
shall be liable to a fine of not more than $10,000.00 or to
imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or bott ime

A Building Inspector may order the cessation of any work that
is proceeding in contravention of the Building Code or of this
Bylaw by posting a "Stop Work Order" in the form of Schedule J
to this Bylaw on the property on which such work is undertaken.

Every owner of real property on which a “Stop Work Order” has
been posted or vith respect to which any permit isaued
pursuant to th: 3ylaw has been revoked as in thia Byle

SEVERABILITY

18.1. If any Part or lesser portion of this Bylaw is held invalid by
a court, the invalid portion shall be severed from thie Bylaw.

REPEAL

20.1 “Building and Plumbing Code Administration Bylaw, 1992, No.
‘2568"" is repealed.

20.2 “Building and Plumbing Code Administration Bylaw, 1992, No.
2656" is repealed and replaced by this Bylaw.

21. EORCE AND EFFECT

21.1 ‘his Bylaw shall come into force and effect on the first day
of December 1992. |
