WHEREAS by Letters Patent dated March 7th, 1913 The Corporation of
the City of Port Coquitlam was incorporated as city municipallty on
land that formerly comprised a portion of The Corporation of the
District of Coquitlam; ;

AND WHEREAS the boundary between the City of Port Coquitiam and the
District of Coquitiam, in the northwest sector, became the "centre of
the channel of the Coquitlam River's

AND WHEREAS due to shifting river boundartes during the years from
1863 to 192% doubt has always existed as to the exact location of the
"centre of the channel of the Coquitlam River";

AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and the
District of Coquitlam are agreed that such doubt should be removed;

NOW THEREFORE BE 1T RESOLVED That survey plans based on Map #5 of
the City Engineer's report of January 10, 1985 be prepared by one or
more B.C. Land Surveyors;

AND THAT the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the said survey
plan or plans on behalf of the municipality and to atfix the Corporate
Seal thereto;

THAT the location of the centre of the channel of the Coquitlam
River shown on that survey plan or plans be confirmed and accepted as
the location specified tn the Letters Patent of the City of Port
Coquitlam;

AND THAT the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign and seal al|
such further plans, documents, or assurances as may be required to
establish the said boundary in the location speciffled on the sald
“survey plan.

found playlng on soccer fields during field closures.
