That the May Day Committee and the May Day Co-ordinator elect an executive from the May Day Committee to assist the Co- ‘ ordinator in running May Day. That May Day be held in 1983 and that the date be the second weekend in May. ws _ That Jean Day. be hired as Co-ordinator for the 1983 May Day and that her salary be $4,500. That the 1983 May Day Budget be $20,000 (which would inelude the $4,500 for the Co-ordinator) and that the revenue be $7,800, thereby giving a net cost of $12,200. BACKGROUND _& COMMENTS: Discussions have taken place with the May Day Co-ordinator, the Meyor and the Committee on the aspect of re-structure. The present system of having individuals from various organizations sitting on the Committee and taking responsibility for certain events is not functioning properly. The Committee views the new structure as 4 more workable system and it will also ensure that just not one or two members on the Committee do all the work. Continued...
