Moved by Alderman Wright: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That the report of the Finance Committee, May 6th, 1980 being a Statement of Accounts Payable in the amount of $192,639.43, be approved. From the Public Works Committee, May 8th, 1980 recommending that the normal policy of sprinkling regulations being odd numbered houses sprinkling on odd numbered days and even numbered houses sprinkling on even numbered days be implemented at this time. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, May 8th, 1980 the normal policy of sprinkling regulations as follows: odd numbered houses sprinkling on odd numbered days; even numbered houses sprinkling on even numbered days; be approved. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Keryluk asked who would be monitoring the water situation regarding possible further restrictions being required and Mayor Laking advised the City Engineer as well as the Greater Vancouver Regional District and the City’s Public Works Committee would be monitoring the water requirements. From the Public Works Committee, May 8th, 1980 recommending that the propane conversion equipment presently used on two City vehicles be retained to allow a long-range study to be carried out. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Wright: Thac as recommended by the Public Works Committee, May 8th, 1980 the propane conversion equipment presently used on two City vehicles, as outlined in the report, be retained to allow a long-range study to be carried out, Carried.
