To the Mayor and City Council

Gentlemen:
I hereby submit my recommendations for Fort Coquitlam
May Day 1976.

1. The new parade route which has slready been approved
by City Council,

2, The use of Arena #1 for the Saturday afternoon
crowning of the new May Queen and for the Maypole
dances following. Also use of the Young Room for the
Royal Tea and the Mabbit Room for the Royal Banquet.

3. After the banquet, Arena #1 will be used again for
a repeat of the Maypole dances and for the Lancers,
This would be followed by the children's dance.

4%, Later the Teen Dance will also be held in Arena #1
from 9:00 P.M. until 1:00 A.M,

Therefore Arena #1 will be utulized all day Saturday
and also on Sunday. We will have a program of Gospel
of Songs on Sunday afternoon.

We would like to use Arena #2 for our May Day Committee's
booths and exhibits. By using this arena we will be
saving labour and construction costs reauired in prev=
ious years for the rentel, lighting end erection of

tents and for the fabricating of the Bingo tables,

Gentlemen if you will look over the floor plan attached
you will see the organizations that will be making use
of Arena #2. At the present time B. C. Telephone have
committed themselves tentatively. The use of the arena
will also give otier city organizations an opportunity
to have booths and raise money for their projects.
