The City Engineer advised that he had no information with regard to those lots fronting Coquitlam Avenue and those on Suffolk Avenue east of York Street as subdivision had taken place a very long time ago, however, with regard to those west of York on Suffolk, an arrangement for road construction was made at the time of the trade of the property to the Developer for property within the City's Nature Area. NEW BUSINESS: Alderman Keryluk reported that following receipt of a complaint re dogs running at large in the Central School area, he had contacted the School directly and they report no problem at the present time. a report from the §.P?.C.A. indicates that during the month of October only two complaints had been received from that general area and that more specific information would be required before any further action could be taken. Alderman Ranger noted that in response to his recent Letter to the Editor of the Columbian Newspaper, Port Coquitlam was now identified on their map showing 'Columbian Country’. Alderman Traboulay expressed concern over the leniency being shown by the Courts with respect to penalties for violation of By-laws where guilt has been proven and/or admitted. He cited the situation as being similar to that existing with respect to the charging of juveniles. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That a letter be directed to the Attorney~General drawing to his attention the inconsistency of the Courts in the levying of fines with respect to By-law violations.
