We do, however, recommend that the City of _...-' - Port Coquitlam include an overall floodplain clause in their bylaw, at this time, when they appear to be incorporating a number of administrative changes. “We -would recommend the incorporation of the following clause in the General Provisions Section of the zoning bylaw for the City of Port Coquitlam: “Notwithstanding any other provisions of this bylaw, no building shall be ‘constructed, nor mobile home located: . ' -a) with any part of the floor system of habitable spaces; or in the case of a mobile home, the ground level on which it is located, lower than: i) two (2) feet above the defined 200-year flood profile for the Fraser and Pitt rivers, at the point on the river nearest to the building location. , ten (10) feet above the natural boundary of the Coquitlam River. five (5) feet above the natural boundary of any other watercourse. within one hundred (100) feet of the natural boundary of the Pitt, Fraser or Coquitlam rivers, nor within fifty (50) feet of the natural boundary of any other watercourse. if landfill is used to achieve the required elevation, the toe of the fill slope shail be no closer than the above distances from any natural boundary.
