Mr. MacDonald also mentioned the Association is not opposed to the proposed Huntington Rubber rezoning provided the M-3 zoning gives more controlling power; however, they are opposed to a subdivision within this zoning at this time due to the uncertainty of the surrounding bridges, highways, and the access and egress to the area. Alderman Traboulay referred to a letter from the Vector Control Officer advising that the C.P.R. Yards are not being satisfactorily cleaned up and that the pigeons are returning. Alderman Laking mentioned that residents on the Western end of Davies Avenue face directly onto the tracks and they would like them screened by a buffer of trees. Alderman Ranger agreed that planting trees would help alleviate the problem. Mayor Campbell requested that the Association's letter be left for study, and requested Alderman Thompson, Chairman of the Public Works Committee, to check into the estimated cost of constructing a pedestrian bridge across the River.
