Hours of Work: Part-Time, 35 hours blweekly
Salary: $19,904 - $22. 76/br

This position's primary function is the inspection and licensing of new and existing
child care facilities such as group day care, family. day care, nursery schools, child.
minding, out-of-school care, and children’s residential programs. This position is one
of at least 2 Licensing Officer positions responsible for delivering a comprehensive
Community Care Facilities Licensing program. The Community Care Facilities
Branch is responsible for the administration of the Community Care Facilities Act &
Regulations and to ensure the protection of vulnerable clients and care facilities,
The catchment area for this position is primarily Terrace-Kitimat, and includes some
outlying areas, ;

Applicants require an understanding of the Community Care Facilles Act &
Regulations, puble health. and salely practices, a working knowledge of
developmentally appropiate practices and program standards for Early Childhood
Education, and familiarity with current childcare initiatives in B.C,

Registered Nurse's or Public Heallh-Inspector's diploma and experience, basic
knowledge of Natural Justice, good administrative skills, ability to problem-solve,
and strong interpersonal skills would be an asset. Ministry Operational requirements
