Sam Kirkaldy says be has had bad
luck hunting the past week. One day
he got up “early” and when he looked
at the clock he did not see very good
and thought he was late. He got a
light and hurried breakfast and rushed

| off to the postoffice and got the mail
{all sorted. He wondered why people

were not coming around and took an;
other look at the clock, He was just
an ‘hour ahead of time. The grouse
were. the happy birds. On Sunday he
spent a lot of time at Lakelse Lake,
but the season was early and the re-
suits not at all satisfactory. Monday

a rush act into the house and told dad
a Canada goose was feeding under the
apple tree. Dad fell for that one and
hopped out of bed and outside, but the
pird had flown. Sam is getting wise,
and will fool them all before the sea-
son is over.
