E WOM WILL KNOW

YES, the women will know, perhaps
better than the men, what the
issues are on June 27.

They know in terms of not enough
oranges and milk and meat and butter
how the last government betrayed them
by removing price controls. They re-
member the delegation that went to
Ottawa to speak for 750,000 Canadian
citizens who signed a petition demand-
ing price controls.: They have not for-
gotten that not a single member of par-
liament stood up in the House of Com-
mons and fought for these perfectly
sensible proposals.

The women know in terms of 100,000
killed and wounded sons and husbands,

the real meaning of war. They know in-

stinctively that another war is in the!

making — this time right here in Canada
— unless there are men in parliament
who will fight to stop it.

Every mother knows how much she
has sacrificed to pay doctor’s bills and
buy medicine — while a bunch of sanc-
