FOR NEW $50,000 LOCAL HEADQUARTERS “Open house” was held by Local 1-367 IWA January 10, to celebrate the completion of the Local’s new $50,000 building in Haney. IWA members and other visitors were shown through the new union headquarters and afterwards treated to coffee, sandwiches and cookies. The building has a floor space of 5148 sq. feet, with provision to add a second storey when needed. The interior walls are partly panelled in veneer and the floors are carpeted. Th exterior is constructed partly of shakes, cedar siding panel, beams and rock facing. The building is “self-liquidating” as the Local has leased space to the Maple Ridge Community Credit Union and the H. A. Roberts Real Estate Company. The Local Union is to be complimented for its foresight in constructing such a modern headquarters and the Regional Council wishes the aoe and members Seeeuccessin their MODERN NEW HEADQUARTERS of Local 1-367 IWA recently built by the Local new building.
