That a $600 contribution be made to Pitch-in British Columbia for the
4993 Pitch-in Week campaign and;

that these funds be allocated from the 1992 Environmental Protection budget.

Pitch-in British Columbia in the attached letter dated October 16, 1992 has
requested a contribution of $600 from the City for the 1993 Pitch-in week

campaign.

Pitch-in week held May whidre CNCOUFAgeS Community groups and schools to
collect liner from urban, rural and wilderness areas. Pitch-in Canada provides the
City with collection bags and information brochures which are distributed to the

Participants in the event.

For the past 3 years the City has acted as a coordinator between Pitch-in B.C. and
local community groups and schools involved in the program. In 1991 the City
made a contribution of $600 towards this years Pitch-in week campaign.
