A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City
of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port. Coquitlam City Hall,
2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, June 15th, 1992, at
7:30 p.m.

Mayor LM. Traboulay and Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, M.R. Wright,
and M.A. Thompson were in attendance.

Also in attendance were City Treasurer/Deputy City Administrator J.G.S.

Maitland, City Clerk S. Rauh, City Engineer I.R. Zahynacz, Director of

ey Planning C.R. Felip, and Director of Building Permits and Inspections J.D.

That the minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Council meeting held on
June lst, 1992 be taken as read and adopted.

PROCLAMATIONS 3

WHEREAS it is desirable that the attention of employers, workers, and the
general public be directed to the extent of work-related injuries, loss of
life and property, and to identify the underlying causes of occupational
accidents and illness in order to achieve the best and most practicable means

of control;

WHEREAS a specific period of the year should be set apart and properly
designated. for the dissemination of pertinent information on occupational
health and safety programs;

WHEREAS the Province of British Columbia, through the Workers'
Compensation Board and other provincial agencies, is aware that many dedicated
citizens are waging a continuing battle against workplace accidents and
injuries;
AND WHEREAS the British Columbia and Yukon division of the Canadian
Society of Safety Engineering together with the British Columbia government
and its agencies promote cccupational health and safety,

NOW THEREFORE I, Lecnard M. Traboulay, Mayor of the Corporation of The
City of Port Coquitlam, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the week of June 2ist to 27th, 1992.
