Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by the Director of Community Planning in his memorandum of July 5th, 1989 that a Voluntary Development Variance Permit be approved relaxing the requirements of the Sign Bylaw No. 2095 Section 19(b) for Lot 178, D.L. 4, L.D. 36, Twp 39, NWLD Plan 41217. Carried. From the City Clerk, August 10th, 1989 referring to the proposed issuance of a Development Variance Permit No. 42/89 for 1812 Jacana Avenue. The applicant, Mr. Anthony Kellesis, was present and asked Council to grant the Development Variance Permit. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by the Director of Community Planning in his memorandum of July 6th, 1989 a Voluntary Development Variance Permit be granted for Lot 5 of D.L 233 NWLD plan 79828 relaxing the requirements of the rear yard set back requirements of the Zoning Bylaw No. 2240 Section 802, RS~2 Small Lot Residential, Subsection (6) Rear Yard to permit an encroachment of a deck. Carried. REPORTS: From the City Engineer, August 24, 1989 referring to drainage from Hazel Trembath School Site and Genstar's Request for Release. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Stewart: That the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the form attached to the Engineers’ report releasing Genstar from further responsibilities pertaining to drainage from the Hazel Trembath School Site.
