That as requested by J.K. Cooper Ltd., March 6th, 1978 the servicing

costs of $63,148.00 for the proposed commercial development on Lots 7,
8, and 9, Block 3, District Lot 379, Plan 1213, being 2331, 2337 and
2341 Marpole Avenue be reduced by $6,000.00, being one-half the
estimated cost of the required watermain installations.

Carried.

Aldermen Keryluk and Ranger voted against the resolution.

Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Mabbett
advised that the Public Works Committee discussed the proposed commercial
development on Merpole Avenue and recommended that half of the estimated
cost of the water service in the amount of $6,000.00 be paid by the City
and the other half be paid by the developer. Alderman Ranger advised
developers should be responsible for all of the costs involved with the
development, otherwise the taxpayers will be paying instead.

as advised by the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch, March 14th, 1978
and the Casa Roma Restaurant, March 15th, 1978 the residents of the

puilding be advised of the proposed development and their comments

requested.

Aldermen Ranger and Keryluk voted in favour of the resolution.
Prior to the foregotng resolution a general discussion ensued with
the owner of the Casa Roma, Mr. Erik Nikolopoulos, explaining the proposed

holding bar.
