April 28th, 1975 That as recommended in a report from the Public Works Committee, April 24th, 1975, parking regulations be established at the Port Recreation Centre Parking Lot in accordance with Drawing No. 210-74A. Defeated. Aldermen Ranger and Mabbett voted in favour of the resolution. Prior to defeat of the resolution quoted above, various members of Council advised that in their opinion a 2-hour parking zone should not be included in the parking arrangements. Variance - respect to an Appeal to the Board of Variance to be heard on Tuesday, 1220 Ellis Dr. May 6th, 1975 involving property located at 1220 Ellis Drive and a Proposal by the applicants to add a carport/sundeck to the existing residence, with the carport apparently to be constructed right up to the Property line. The City Clerk, in his memorandum, advised that it is not usual to advise the Council of such Appeals; however, in this case the City is the owner of the adjoining property and the Council may want to make representations to the Board if it feels that the City's interest : in its land is being jeopardized by the Applicant's proposal. Moved by Alderman Laking: That the City not oppose the forthcoming appeal to the Zoning Board of Variance regarding a proposal to add a carport/sundeck to the existing residence located at 1220 Ellis Drive.
