- Recommendation: The Committee recommends that the necessary changes to the Zoning By-law be undertaken which would allow additions to existing dwelling units provided they conform in every other way with the by-lawe. Iten Lit Re: Lincoln School she Planning Officer advised the Commitee members that he was attending a Building Committee on the exterior design of the building at the School Board Meetings every Tuesday. The purpose ef this meeting 4s to act as a liason between Council and the architects, school beard and contractors of the new facility. The basic site plan was presented at the last meeting and is on hand for Council perusal. The major consideration on this particular school at this time is whether to allow a frame construction or concrete construction type facility. The Planning Officer pointed out that the architect felt he would have more flexibility in the use of frame construction with regards to natural finishes and u basic woodsy look. The School Board architect pointed out that whether the building went frame or concrete that the cost would be very much the same, The Committee is of the feeling that the school should be of conerete construction and that the finish should include natural materials so that it would fit in with the ecological area. The Planning Officer pointed out he would be attending a further meeting on July 10th, 1973 to inform them of the decision of Council. Racommendation: The Committee recommends that the School Board be informed that a concrete constructed school is preferable to a frame construction and further that materials which would maximize the natural appearance be used in finishing of the school,
