As the Welcome Wagon
organization celebrates its 6th
year of greeting newcomers to
communities across the coun-
try, hostess Vi-Middleton says
the steady influx of people to
Terrace is keeping local
wagoneers om the go.

“It’s been fairly busy,’” Mid-
dleton said of her two year stint
with the local organization
which enced last week with her
move to Fort St. James. With
an average of 30 newly arrived
families to call on and approx-
imately the same number of new
mothers to visit each month,
there’s not much question of
that.

However, she added, it has
also been enjoyable. ‘I just love
this job,’* she said, explaining
she got to meet a lot of people
and ‘you even make some long-
time friends,’’ -

And she intends to keep on
doing just that in her new home
where she will be hostess for
