Thornhill Tritons lose in finals | In the boys’ junior ‘B” series.at Houston, Thorn- hill Tritons got to the final by downing Houston §3-41 and Port Simpson 65-33. _ Their quest for a title -was halted by Bulkley Val- ley Christians who scored a §3-52 win over Tritons in the championship game. Tritons’ Bruce Neid was named. the tournament’s most valuable player, while his team was chosen as most sportsmanlike. All-stars selected were Syd Bradsma and Jason Van- derboon of Bulkley Val- ley, Kevin Hamakawa of Tritons and Barnaby States of Houston. Hous- ton’s Billy Kearny won the Mr. Hustle award. The junior ‘B’ girls finals were changed from Port Simpson to Thornhill at the last minute when Port Simpson cancelled out, Hazelton won this series by downing Thornhill 33-25 in the final. In the baitle for third and fourth, Skeena defeated Aiyansh 26-19.
