Kinettes donate’ $300

At. their “Wednesday. ‘hight
meeting the local Kinette’ Club
voted to donate a cheque for

$300 to the Alice Olsen Home .
’ which is a group living home for

retarded children-in the Skeena
Cassiar School District. The
cheque was’ presented to a
surprised and pleased Resident
Management Committee. at
their meeting in the new home
on Thursday night.

The Alice Olsen” Home _is

named after the first teacher of-

retarded children.in the area.
Alice Olsen was also one of the

‘first people to start -the

Retarded Childrens Association
for the Terrace area.

‘The Home will house about 8
children between the ages of 5-
16 who are retarded .but can
attend Graham School. The
children chosen to live there
will be ones it is felt will profit

by this type of situation and -
