THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM C 0 J N\ C MEMORANDUM OCT 6 1975 T0: R.A. Freeman, P September 12th, 1975 City Clerk FROM: V.G. Borch, P. Eng. Re: Proposed Subdivision of Lot 1, Plan 16411 ~ File S#14-74 Another application has been received to subdivide the above mentioned property into two lots fronting on Oxford Street as shown on the attached sketch. This proposed subdivision does not ineet the frontage requirements of the Subdivision of Land By-law but does meet the frontage exemption policy adopted by Council June 5th, 1972. In Maech last year I forwarded a request to Council that they consider granting a frontage exemption. At that time the Council suggested that the lane to the north of the property be closed and consolidated with adjacent properties. This information was passed on to the applicant, however, for other reasons he did not pursue the matter at that time. The applicant now wishes to reactivate this proposed subdivision. The lane to the north of Lot 1, Flan 16411 is constructed to a gravel standard and access to a carport located at 3032 Oxford is from this lane. It is therefore unlikely that the necessary consent from all adjacent property owners would be obtained to close the lane. Therefore, would you please place a request for Council's consideration to exempt this subdivisio, from the Subdivision By-law frontage requirements as provided for in Section 7i2 (2) of the Municipal Act. lyf / VAY \ VGB/vw , V.G.
