Aug 4/78 From the City Engineer, August 4th, 1978 with regard to the proposed re improvements to overhead improvements by the Ministry of Highways to the overhead clearance on clearance- Kingsway Bridge. the Kingsway Avenue Bridge and requesting Council's approval of the modifications to the Bridge and the road closures necessitated by the work. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended by the City Engineer, August 4th, 1978, approval be given for modification and improvements to the overhead clearance on the Kingsway Avenue Bridge by the Ministry of Highways; AND THAT permission be given for the closure of the bridge between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from August 2lst to August 31st, 1978. Carried. A brief discussion preceded passage of the foregoing resolution during which Alderman Traboulay noted that the proposed improvements were in keeping with the Brief submitted to the Ministry by the Port Coquitlam Industrial Association.
