SUBJECT: COST-SHARING OF ROAD PAVING - 2300 BLOCK. PITT RIVER ROAD
(Public Works Commitiee Mecting of April 26, 1994)

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1) That Council approve the expenditure of $2,942.50 (including GST) towards the
reinstatement of the southern portion of the road pavement in the 2300 Block of
Pitt River Road as shown on the attached plan.

That Council allocate $2,942.50 from the Special Public Works Capital Reserve
Fund for this purpose.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

The developer, as part of the requirements for servicing the strata development in the 2300
Block of Pitt River Road will be required to repave the street in front of the development for a
distance of half the roadway plus a metre. Bel Construction has submitted a quote of 52,942.50
(including GST) vo pave the remaining southem portion of Pitt River Road as shown on the

attached plan.

As the southern portion of Pitt River Road at this location is in poor condition, it is
recommended that the City contribute $2,942.50 and have the full width of Pitt River Road

pavernent reconstructed.
