THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM

BYLAW NO. 2696

A Bylaw to delegate executive and/or administrative powers
Standing Committee of the Munieipal Council.

WHEREAS pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act B.S.5.C. 1979, «, 290 and
amendments thereto, the Mayor is empowered to establish Standing Committees
for matters better regulated and managed by meanga of Committees.

AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 242 of the Municipal Act R.S.B.C, 1979, ce. 290
and amendments thereto, the Council may, by Bylaw adopted by at least 2/3 of
all its members delegate to a Standing Committee established under Section
239, authority to exercise executive or administrative powers of the Council,

AND WHEREAS the Mayor has, established pursuant to Section 239 of the
Municlpal Act, a Public Works Committee consisting of two Aldermen, and the
City Engineer or Deputy Engineer.

NOW THEREFORE, the Council of ‘The Corporation of the Clty of Port Coquitlam in
Open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:

1. The Public Works Committee is hereby empowered to authorize the Mayor and
City Clerk to execute and seal agreements relative to the development of
lands within The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam. The
agreements hereinbefore referred to shall include the following:
ao Statutory Right-of-way for municipal services
b. Easements
Ge Encroachment

Reatrictive Covenant

Blanket Statutory Right-of-way

Discharge of and/or modification of Restrictive Covenant, Easement or
Statutory Right~of-way

Latecomer Charge Waiver Agreements

Developers Servicing Agreement
