SUBJECT: Purchase of Tandem Axle Garbage Packer

Earlier this year council approved equipment purchases including one tandem
axle garbabe packer. Tenders were accepted and reviewed for the purchase of the truck
and subsequentially a selection for the purchase was made from Trican Machinery, the
lowest tender meeting our mechanical specifications. The cost for a White Expeditor,
and EZ Pack Appollo packer amounts to $127,701.30.

Would you kindly submit this request to the Public Works Committee for
approval in principle, and if approved, to Council for final approval, so we may _
proceed with the purchase. I have reviewed the equipment replacement fund and find
sufficient funds available for this purchase.

your review.
