Janna Taylor, Parks & Recreation Director SUBJECT: Walkway Hook-up Cedar Drive Recommendations: a) That we complete the section of walkway along Cedar Drive at a cost not to exceed $4,000. b) That the $4,000 be taken from the Parks & Recreation Department capital budget. Backgr nd of Proposed Walkway: Preser.tly there is a natural walkway that goes along the city property adjacent to Cedar Drive. The trail stops at Lombardy. The trail starts again at Prairie and proceeds through Cedar Park. The section between Lombardy and Prairie has not been developed. By completing this section, another trail system would be complete. This trail provides people with a lovely walk and a link to the PoCo Trail. Attached is a map of the location of the walkway. Allocation of Costs: It is estimated that $4,000 will be required to complete the walkway. The allocation for the Parks & Recreation Capital Budget this year is $110,000.00. The present capital budget expenditure sits at $87,814.00.
