V3C 2A8 Attention: Mayor and Council: Re: Meridian Industrial Park Dear Mayor and Council: There is an area of fifteen to twenty feet (varies) between our south property line and the actual dyke along the Pitt River. We are going to be filling our site with sand commencing about the 9th of February, 1987, with sand being placed along our south property line a few days later. We would like to know if the City would allow us to utilize this portion of the dyke right-of-way for storage purposes for pros- pective buyers and tenants. We would be prepared to do the fol- lowing if this idea meets with Council's approval: &) Fill this area while we are pumping sand, at our expense, a cost of approximately $20,000.00. b) The Owners/Tenants would be responsible to main- tain this filled area. c) The placement of this sand will greatly reinforce the dyke, although this is really just an ancil- lary benefit. Mr. Fred Peters has discussed this with me and suggested that, for expedience sake, I should come directly to Council and as we are pumping sand in this area around the lith of February, 1987, we really do require a quick reply.
